MISERY INDEX: Another New Song Posted Online
April 27, 2010A brand new MISERY INDEX track, "Heirs To Thievery", is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The song is the title cut of the group's new album, "Heirs To Thievery", which is set for a May 11 North American release via Relapse Records. The CD was recorded at Wright Way Studios (DYING FETUS, SLIPKNOT, MOS DEF) with engineer Steve Wright.

The band also recorded a bonus song for the Japanese edition of the album.
MISERY INDEX will embark on a month-long U.S. tour in support of "Heirs To Thievery" that will kick off in early May. MISERY INDEX will join labelmates DYING FETUS along with ARSIS, ANNOTATIONS OF AN AUTOPSY and CONDUCTING FROM THE GRAVE for this trek that will also include a stop at the California Metalfest on May 15 in Pomona, California.

MISERY INDEX's discography collection of splits and EPs, "Pulling Out The Nails" (named after the first song the band wrote),has been released on CD through the band's own Anarchos Records imprint, and will soon be made available on double vinyl through Power It Up (Germany). It features 30 tracks, including all non-album material from 2001-2008, such as the "Overthrow" and "Dissent" EPs, as well as the splits with STRUCTURE OF LIES, COMMIT SUICIDE, MUMAKIL, and BATHTUB SHITTER, the "Hang 'Em High" 7", live tracks, bonus covers, etc. The compilation was remastered by Scott Hull last year. This CD includes an extensive 24-page booklet of details, notes, pictures, and an all-time list of all the shows MISERY INDEX has performed. The group states, "We hope it's the final representation of the various incarnations of the band in the past eight years."
